Christ the Saviour school Ealing
This project involved the removal of a lovely 4-rank Compton organ from a school in Woking, transporting it to a school in Ealing, reassembling it and undertaking repairs as required, refinishing of all woodwork (including staining it down as required by the client), making a new back board (the original having been lost years ago), respraying the case pipes gold instead of silver, restoration work to the console and pedals, rewiring the mains electrical installation, testing and tuning - all by the end of the school holidays in time for term starting!
The specification is of diapason, flute, salicional & trumpet with three 16ft extensions, all in a very compact and smart case. The sound is wonderful and fills its new home beautifully.
